Lambo reveals Aston Martin DBS, Ferrari 458 Italia challenger at Qatar Motor show

Lamborghini has announced its special edition Gallardo in Qatar. It is called Bicolore edition as it comes in range of two-tone paint options. The roof is Noctis black and the body is in yellow, Orange, Grey, White or Blue.
Powering the Gallardo is a 5.2 liter V10 engine that churns out 552hp and enables the beast to touch 0-62 mph in 3.17 seconds with its top speed of 201 mph. Apart from offering massive ponies under the hood, the Bicolore edition bears aggressive looks and is a perfect driving and fun bonanza.

In the Interior, there are black leather seats that come with contrast stitching in the color of the car’s body. The eye catching elements in the exterior include, 15 spoke alloy wheels finished in Titanium Grey Enameller and air intakes are in Gloss Black finish and the front and rear spoilers.
With Bicolore, Lamborghini has unveiled a challenger for the competitors that include models like the Aston Martin DBS, the Audi R8 V10, and the Ferrari 458 Italia. Well, if we talk about price, Audi is the winner with $146,000, however 458 Italia possess many of advantages that the Audi lacks. Neverthelss, the Gallardo Bicolore is expected to price above $205,000.

Nissan 350Z converted into Porsche wannabe

Porsche just never stops making waves of news around the globe. Here is again, Porsche Panamera look-a-like with a custom front face, side, and rear, but based on a Nissan 350Z Roadster. First look is confusing as it may look like Porsche Boxster with an extreme body kit and Porsche Panamera front, however; when you look closer you will see similarities to the Nissan 350Z. Well it is a Panamera Convertible, but it is not real. Eh?

Porsche reveals Panamera 4S exclusive Mideast edition at Qatar

The German auto-maker Porsche is set to launch its limited edition and it is exclusively for its Middle East clients. Porsche has planned to roll out just 66 units that will be available in Middle East only. Porsche has never launched a vehicle exclusively for the Middle East region before and this move is to cater to special demands of brand’s customer from the region.

Porsche Panamera’s interior is upholstered in bright Carrera red leather while the exterior paint by opting carrera white metallic finish. The front air intakes, rear bumber, rear diffuser and headlight washer etc. got the exterior color and panamera has 20 inch turbo alloy wheels. With a seating capacity for four, Panamera offers each occupants the ergonomic comfort at the front and rear seats.
Powering the Porsche is a 400hp 4.8 liter V8 engine which is mated to a 7 speed Porsche-Doppel Kupplungsgetriech (PDK) transmission. Porsche Panamera can hit 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds with its top speed at 175mph. The limited Panamera edition is priced at $100,000.

BMW Nazca C2 concept leaps from dust to fit well in streets of tomorrow

This year, it’s the 20th anniversary of on of the best sports cars ever made, Italdesign’s BMW Nazca C2. To mark the occasion, Dutch designer Sabino Leerentveld has come up with what can rightly be deemed as the modern interpretation of Nazca C2. Making its appearance at the 1992 Tokyo Motor Show, the BMW Nazca C2 was powered by an Alpina-tuned 5.0-liter V12 engine that produced 350hp at about 350lb/ft of torque. It was able to run from 0-60mph in stunning 3.7 seconds, with its top speed at 203mph.

The modern interpretation, however, features sleek and elegant design as well as aerodynamic package that have a certain EfficientDynamics flavor to it. Measuring 4400mm long, 1990mm wide and 1110 mm high, the Nazca C2 concept has a wheelbase of 2710mm that adds more to the sporty driving and a lot of BMW’s luxury interior. With aggressive yet modern looks, the concept is a perfect vehicle that auto enthusiasts would surely like to see gushing in the streets of tomorrow.

After giving us Apple mackintosh inspired iMove and iSnow concepts, Liviu Tudoran comes with another futuristic concept for Honda. Christened as Honda Native, the concept is made out of light material and also uses photo chromic material that enables the car to change its color.
Honda Native is powered by an electric engine that gets energy from high voltage lithium ion batteries. On the other, the sleek and elegant vehicle has its interior made of light aluminum and uses an OLED display for the speedometer and touch screen controls for easy access to the functions.

BMW 750i based Rolls Royce Phantom replica

Auto conversions may not be always commendable or as close to the real thing, but they at least show ingenuity and real craftsmanship from someone. That’s the only reason I love conversion. However, here I am going to introduce you with BMW 750i V12 E32 based Rolls Royce Phantom replica. The base vehicle is believed to from the late 80s or from early 90s. This converted Phantom, rather say BMW 750i Royce, may not be the exact replica as something goes wrong here and something there, still the creator has given a nice try, I’d add definitely. Equipped with 5.0l V12 under the hood good for 300hp, this vehicle is looking for a new owner for €56,653 at a Polish used car website. The price seems too big but for those who love weird wheels or appreciate the ingenuity; money isn’t surely a big issue.

Mercedes Benz reveals the images, details of new SLK

Mercedes Benz has officially reveled the details and images of new SLK, which was accidentally unveiled on a French-language video late last year. The two-seater SLK roadster is to debut at brand’s 125th birthday in Stuttgart by the end of this month. Featuring an all new rear wheel drive platform, SLK feature sportier chassis and is also available in diesel version.

The new model is supported by wider tracks and variable damping control that will be offered in an optional agility package. SLK will be offered in three engine options to choose from. Engine options include a turbocharged 1.8-litre for SLK 200 with 184hp and 270Nm of torque and 6.4liters/100. Again, a turbocharged 1.8-litre for SLK 250 with 204hp and 310Nm of torque, using 6.2liters/100km. And finally a SLK 350 with 306hp and 370nm of torque while using 7.1 liters/100km.
The SLK 200 is equipped with six speed manual transmission and sprints from 0-62mph in 7.0 seconds; whereas as the SLK350 with 3.5-litre direct-injection new V6 gets a seven speed automatic transmission. Apart from this, SLK 350 has a number of fuel-saving features, including stop-start, it offers vastly improved performance and economy. Sprint time taken from a standstill to 62mph is 5.6sec and a combined fuel economy of 39.8mpg.
Additionally, Mercedes is going to offer the new SLK with diesel engine, which is a twin-turbo, 2.1-litre four-pot with 204bhp. A replacement for the SLK55 is also destined for the UK by the end of the year. It will use a normally aspirated version of AMG’s new 5.5-litre V8, producing close to 420bhp.

2011 Detroit Motor show: Audi reveals A6 hybrid

2012 Audi A6 isn’t something new to us and we have met the vehicle many times. However, there were suspicions about its looks, but with its reveal at 2011 NAIAS things are in the clear light of the day. From the appearance and a word from Audi officials, it becomes clear that brand has gone beyond limits to keep it aesthetically true to the conventional gas-powered model.

Propelling the hybrid car is Audi’s 2.0-liter turbocharged, direct-injected gasoline engine blended with an electric motor that generates 45hp and 155 pound-feet of torque to offer an estimated fuel economy of 37.94 mpg. Engine is mated to eight speed Tiptronic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. Electric motor gets vital juice from a modest 1.3 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack located in the trunk to generate 39 kW.
The hybrid vehicle can reach up to 62mph on purely electric motivation with a pure electric range of 3km and a combined fuel economy of 38miles per gallon. A6 can operate on purely gasoline only mode or can bled two fuel sources. The hybrid car also features a regenerative braking system, with unique instrumentation to indicate whether the system is charging or discharging its lithium ion battery. There is no word as to when this new model will go on sale. The base price is expected to be 38,500 Euros.

Though we already heard in the past that an electric Rolls Royce is to become reality by 2010 but that didn’t happen. However, hopes have risen once again with Rolls-Royce’s chief executive officer, Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes, confirming that all options for alternatively-fueled vehicles were being considered. The super eco-friendly luxury Rolls Royce phantom could be a reality by 2012 Olympics where parent company BMW will use the cars with electric and environmentally-friendly technology to ferry 80,000 VIPs to and from venues.

2011 NAIAS Preview: 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Racecar

Perhaps Cadillac has finally understood that it has tested our patience to a great extent with CTS-V Coupe racecar. As a result, the brand today released the first official photographs of CTS-V Coupe, before it finally takes the wraps off to the racer at NAIAS on 10th Jan. As it has been already reported that CTS-V Coupe will have to undergo plenty of modifications to meet up to the SCCA standards but we aren’t confirmed what those changes actually are. However, the coupe will get power from a V8 engine that generates a massive 556hp, which seems reasonable enough for some teams to be shaking in their performance tires. Also, GM has confirmed on the occasion Johnny O’Connell and Andy Pilgrim as the pilots of the two cars that will be entered in the Sports Car Club of America World Challenge GT series for the 2011 season. If someone can envision a best Rolls-Royce concept for an auto nerd, here it is. Christened as Rolls-Royce Apparition, the concept is the brain child of Jeremy Westerlund, a student at Art Center School of design. And what’s so special about it? Well, from the appearance you can see clearly that this vehicle is the perfect embodiment of brand’s past and representative of the future.

Rolls-Royce Apparition concept is based around the old motor carriages and like most of the Rolls Royce cars, the concept has a prominent grill and hood ornament. On the other, the concept borrows styling cues from sailing yachts and also features unique touches like real mahogany inserts in the wheels, and the imposing overall shape is long and low.
The eye catching design is 1:4-scale model still it measures nearly six feet long. So, if it will ever hit the road, it will be excessively long, nearly 279 inches if we consider its present length.
