2011 Honda CB1000R

Cars may be more practical than motorcycles for a lot or different reasons, but if you’re the free-wheeling type that enjoys the breath of freedom that only bikes can provide, then the latter is definitely right inside your wheel house.
Now as far as picking the right bike is concerned, you’ll have plenty of varieties to choose from, including Honda and its latest sportsbike offering, the CB1000R.
Dressed in a clean, essentials-only styling that belies its superbike capabilities, the CBR1000 was built using a sophisticated Gravity Die-Cast technology with a mono-backbone aluminum frame that is strong yet features thin-wall construction to ensure the bike is as light as a feather. The bike’s seating position - a short, compact and lightweight seat and tail cowl - delivers excellent rider comfort and tremendous versatility for long-distance travel. There’s also a stylish three-section LCD instrument panel features a multi-segment LCD tachometer and a distinctive triangular multi-reflector headlight, with unique LED position light.
As far as power is concerned, the CB1000R comes with a fuel-injected four-cylinder 998cc powerplant that boasts of Honda’s esteemed sports and racing tradition. The engine has been tuned for loads of right-now power to go with a single-sided swingarm with single-shock rear suspension.
The Honda CB1000R has been described in a variety of ways, but whatever description you can think of for it, one thing will always remain true: it’s a true modern iteration of a long line of classic, high-performance, hot-rod Hondas.
And judging by the early returns, it’s doing its predecessors proud.

2011 Ferrari 599 GTB Project Megalith by SR Auto Group

Canadian tuner, SR Auto Group, is no stranger to redefining sports cars from a number of high end automakers. The difference with their latest project is that the vehicle in question is on its last leg, and oh what a beautiful leg it is. Called Project Megalith, this tuning kit is based on a Ferrari 599 GTB and its transformation is subtle and sweet.
Gone is the original dark shade found on the Italian sports car. In its place is a matte white frosted hue with two contrasting black stripes running cleanly through the center of the hood and upward towards a blacked out roof. The black accent is also present in a set of Novitec NF3 wheels with a matte black face and polished lip.
No engine upgrades were provided for the Ferrari 599 GTB, so the sports car is still thundering out 611 HP at 7600 rpm and 448 lb-ft at 5600 rpm out of its 5,999cc V12 engine. The difference with the Megalith is that SR Auto Group has opted for an RSC exhaust system to hone in on the Ferrari’s menacing roar.

MV Agusta Brutale R 1090 is cheaper speed

If you're looking for all of the excitement that the 1100cc engine in the MV Agusta Brutale 1090RR has to offer with a slightly more palatable price tag, we have some good news for you. MV Agusta has just whipped the sheets off of the company's new Brutale R 1090. Buyers can expect to find the same beating heart between the frame, though with lower-specification wheels, brakes and various other pieces along for the ride compared to the mighty double R.

That's not necessarily a bad thing, though. The lower-rung kit means that the Brutale R 1090 will hit the showroom with a price tag of €13,990, or $18,980 at current conversion rates. Expect the actual U.S. MSRP to be far below that figure.

Even so, that price nets you a 144-horsepower, radially-valved engine that's sure to scare the hair off your hide. Fortunately, the manufacturer has thrown in an eight-way adjustable traction control system to keep you off of the pavement and on two wheels. Or one wheel, depending on your throttle position. Expect to see the machine show its face to the public for the first time at the EICMA show later this year.

TechArt Porsche 911 Turbo – 700 PS and 880 Nm

TechArt has released more powerful version of Porsche 911 Turbo – 997 model. The tuning company launched power kit TA 097/T1 and T2 several months ago and now they offer TA 097/T3 kit.
Porsche 911 Turbo originally produces 500PS, but with stage 3 it is boosted to whopping 700PS (515 kW) and 880Nm (649 lb-ft) of torque. This is an increase of 200PS (147 kW) and 230Nm (170 lb-ft).
The results are thanks to two new VTG turbochargers, high performance intercoolers, sport air filter, new intake manifold and sport exhaust system. Of course, everything is carefully mapped to work just fine. There is also TECHART engine styling package in carbon-fibre.
The performance is brutal – 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, to 200 km/h in 9 seconds and a top speed of mind blowing 352 km/h (219 mph).
All that power is put on the road through all-wheel-drive system, so you just have to step on the gas pedal and grad the steering wheel really hard.

What happens when you use the hood of the Porsche 911 GT2 as a canvas

Argentinian Jorge Gomez’s created some unconventional artwork that will be on display at an upcoming exhibition at Stuttgart museum.
Gomez selected a unique canvas, using Porchse 911 GT2 sports car bonnets as a way to connect his passion for art and for Prosche autos. The outcome is an awesome collection of 24 South American paintings crafted by a total of 19 artists, including Rogelio Polesello, Pablo Atchugarry, and Jorge Ferreyra Basso.
With so many artists working on the project, each peice in the collection gets an individual voice from a variety of mediums and artists’ styles. Gomez enjoys changing them out for partical use on his own Porsche 911 GT2.

Currently, the collection was first on display at the Porsche museum in Europe, and is currently being exhibited at the Stuttgart through Jaunary 8, 202012 Porsche 911 GT2 Hood Canvas12.

Dodge Charger Pursuit claims its victories in Michigan State Police tests

The Big Three are finally done one-upping each other in this year's Michigan State Police vehicle evaluations, with the 2012 Dodge Charger Pursuit V8 laying down some heady numbers on the test track. The Charger emerged with the fastest lap time ever recorded in the Michigan State Police test's history, at 1:33.7.
That, boys and girls, is something else. The Chevrolet Caprice PPV may have the best top speed and braking, but the Charger has shown it has the chops to slice up the twisties as well. The Hemi-powered Charger also gets to 60 in under six seconds with the optional 3.07 gears.
The only strike against the Charger is that needed a V8 to post those numbers, while both the Chevrolet Caprice and Ford Interceptor employ less thirsty V6s.
